Business Development Manager

£45 - 50K Basic D.O.E

Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for looking after and developing all sales, providing detailed sales analysis, and developing further opportunities for growth within the Retail and Independent merchant sector. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role works closely with the National Sales Director to create a platform to build sales. They will be responsible for reviewing sales figures for the area and delivering an ambitious, yet realistic, growth strategy. Other duties include delivering professional and effective presentations to the customer base, growing sales, increasing brand identity and building strong relationships with customers. The successful candidate will be adept at gaining market knowledge in order to increase market share and looking for new opportunities. 

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • The ability to be able to work effectively with sales and CRM software, working with spreadsheets and creating effective presentations.
  • Good planning and forecasting skills.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Trustworthiness and commitment, always maintaining confidentiality.
  • A team player who will work closely with the wider Sales Team and internal teams to achieve the best results.
  • Have Flexibility and the ability to compromise, accepting feedback and input from other departments.
