Role Overview:
As Key Account Director, you will manage a small portfolio of large National Builders Merchant accounts, which are critical to the company's growth. Your role involves fostering long-term relationships and strategic partnerships, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal and external teams. You will also contribute to shaping the company’s sales strategy while maintaining a strong relationship with the existing Key Account Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve/exceed national sales targets by expanding business within key accounts.
- Manage and control expenditure within budget limits.
- Maintain regular contact with key accounts across various levels.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure alignment with strategic plans.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal departments and key accounts.
- Motivate and lead a team of Merchant Sales Representatives to meet targets.
Person Specification:
Experience: Proven experience in senior-level Key Account Management, especially within National Builders Merchants.
Skills: Strong relationship-building, strategic planning, numeracy, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
Personal Qualities: Tenacious, adaptable, customer-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset and high integrity.
